Suspension height

Mensaje por zeb » Mar 30 Jun, 2015 19:42

Can anyone measure height from ground to fender edge (front and rear - not lowered)?
I need to know original height in 147 GTA. I have Novitec springs (-45mm lower), but
rear is much higher then front:

Changing only the springs is normal that the rear was higher, like the original one.

Do you know if your springs are specific for the GTA? The 3.2 V6 is a heavier engine than the Twin Spark and if the reference (p/n) of the springs is not correct the front would lower much the front of the car than with V6 specificic springs.

You can compare the height better measuring as you can see in the image:

With original GTA springs measures 36,5cm in the front and 38 in the rear (approximately).

Are you sure they are not a coilover kit with adjustable height?

If your GTA only fits Novitec springs you can see the info here: http://www.novitec-sportiva.com/en/173- ... g-Kit?c=54

I'm sure. The is no adjustable height. In the front I've 31cm and 36 in the rear. I's strange. Front is about 5cm lower but rear only 2?

The rear seems to be correct (same weight like the others 147 versions and doesn't matter if they are specific for V6 version or not) but maybe in the front you are wearing incorrect springs.

Then why rear is olny -2cm, not 4? Front springs may by wrong, its 5,5 cm lower. Novitec tells about 4-4,5cm.
Anyway, I want to put AP coilover set with adjustable height (-35 to -65mm) - like this:
